Yulia Koslova      Yulia is wholly unsurprised that she woke up in a medical bed. This is, sadly, not an unusual occurance after she's been in combat.
As soon as she was able to do so, she was immediately making a video conference with the people back on Zeon to assure them she was alive, and while not exactly well, in very good hands. No doubt her husband could tell the smile was fairly forced, but she assured him that while her mobile suit was a total loss, that she and Rose would be okay.
And once all of that was over, she slumped back into her pillow, resting the local equivelent of an iPad in her lap. Her right arm is still wrapped and splinted, and she's got some nicely developing bruises on the other, but she's alive and that's all that matters. With that thought, she sighs and begins counting ceiling tiles.
Karian Icefang 5tYulia would find that she had a guest this evening. The Wolf Lord KArian and his wolf Ygdril make their way into the room. "Hello, Lady Koslova. How are you?" he asks. He carefully sits down onto a chair, while the wolf trots over and offers yulia and quick lick on the cheek.
Yulia Koslova     It's a weak and weary smile, but not faked. It also briefly becomes a half-grin as she's wolf-kissed. "Hello, Wolf Lord, Ygdril...I think that's the only part of me that's not bruised. Thank goodness for helmets." She gives the wolf an awkward pat with the unbandaged hand. "The doctors tell me I'll be fine, and I'm taking them at their word. How are you?"
Karian Icefang     "I'm well. Got a few looks from the troops when Mort and myself walked back in after that bombing run. Bet the aliens didn't expect that." Karian says. Ygdril stays close, laying his head next to Yulia's good arm. Clearly he was an attentive wolf. "I've also taken a look over the men, training their accuracy and helping the morale."
Yulia Koslova     Yulia's smile slips into a smirk at that. "I bet..." Then, it fades. "Do you know whether they figured out whether the aliens really did capture any fancy relics, or was that all one great big trap that we stepped into?"
As they talk, she'll absently scritch behind Ygdril's ears. A larger substitute Toji for her, which is pretty welcome right now.
Karian Icefang     "I half-expect it was a trap, to be honest. I couldn't see any relics, but then I was wrapped up in fighting the Mutons. I saw the explosion of your suit....Your husband must hate seeing you pilot."
Yulia Koslova      Yulia grimaces at Karian's words, and she looks away from him back toward the ceiling. "The Zeon Council is going to be very upset. Again. They will ask me to stop being a pilot. Again. And then something else will happen and then they will need their ace pilots back in service, even if one of them happens to be First Lady." She sighs. "As for Avel, I think he understands. He may not like it, but I think he understands. And really, in the grand scheme of things, it's better to risk me than him, right?"
Karian Icefang     Karian nods at that. "Aye. But even so, your valuable to your people. Don't put yourself in harms way intentionally, Lady Koslova." He then leans back, thinking a bit. "So...Mort has convinced Jarl Grimnar to let me serve as an Ambassador, and even convinced me to build a home in Equestria."
Yulia Koslova      "I'm not trying to, but sometimes I have to." She begins to shrug, but something twinges and she winces, which puts a stop to that notion.
Yulia blinks. "Equestria?" she echoes, because she couldn't have possibly heard that right. "Not the country with all the pony people?"
Karian Icefang     "Aye. Believe it or not, it is the one place where Chaos can't take root. It's too pure." Karian admits. His face was a mix of sheepish and disbelief himself, but with a hint of hope. "Mort found peace there...Maybe I can as well."
Yulia Koslova      "I see...well, I hope you enjoy it there, even if it's....." Yulia trails off as her brain flails for a diplomatic way of expressing her thought. "...pretty civilized compared to Fenris." She almost leaves it there, but then curiosity wins over diplomacy, and she rolls her head back to look at him. "Um. Do you, um, you know, turn into a pony when you're there?"
Karian Icefang     "I am aware..." Karian admits. His slow nature suggests that he's had...issues with the form. "I'll likely get used to it. Just....I hope no one from my company finds out..."
Yulia Koslova     Yulia is about to regret asking that. Not from Karian's answer per se, but from her own reaction to his answer. She starts to giggle. Which is one of those things you shouldn't do at a Space Marine. But more immediately importantly, it's one of those things you shouldn't do with cracked ribs.
    "Ow..." Giggle. "Sorry...sorry..." Giggle. "Owww...I'm sorry I can't...ow..." Giggle.
Karian Icefang     Karian smiles softly and offers a bottle of red liquid. "Here.....painkillers. All natural and cherry flavored. I thought you may want some." He says. Ygdril leans closer in, trying to do his best to make the pain stop for the first lady of Neo-Zeon. "Oh, Ygdril was curious as to how toji was doing."
Yulia Koslova     She can't stop giggling. It hurts! But her gigglebox has turned over thanks to the mental image of her friend being less wolfish and more equine. She brings her hands in to hug herself and her poor ribs.
Finally, after a couple of minutes, she finally gets herself back under control. "S-sorry...I didn't mean to laugh at you, really..." She then gives a shake of her head at the offer. "If I were at home, maybe, but I think the medics here would be a little unhappy if we started mixing herbs with their medicines."
She manages a few calming breaths before answering the next question. "Toji, he's fine. Hopelessly spoiled, way too civilized by comparison." She moves to reach out a hand to Ygdril again. "He minds me well enough, though. Avel, too."
Karian Icefang     Karian nods at that. "I'm glad. They both value your companionship, I can tell." He says. He gently places a hand on yulia's shoulder, smiling. "Your one of the stronger people I've met in a long time..and a valued friend."
Yulia Koslova     He tries to be gentle, but Yulia wasn't kidding all that much when she said her face was the only only place not bruised. It feels like her bruises have bruises. So she winces a bit even as she tries to smile. "Thank you...I'm glad you think of me that way, You're my friend, too."
