Ainsley     It requires stepping through Agartha, and walking through Solomon Island, to get to standing before this classroom door. On the way, there area undead that would require dispatching, and the fog would feel as ever-present in the distance as ever, threatening to swallow anything that wanders into it. It's not, necessarily, difficult to get to Innsmouth Academy, or even to avoid or destroy the beasts that lurk around it, and once inside the Academy, a classroom is located by following a mysterious flowering vine to a door absolutely covered in vines.

It's there that Ainsley would lead the party to. She would only halt for a moment to give them a proper breather in the darkened halls of the Academy. She's tense, incredibly so. Her eyes appear angry when she looks at the door, and the energy in her body trembles. She is a creature that has killed before, and she is very much wanting to kill whatever is inside that classroom, even if she has no idea what it is. She makes an air of neutrality about Aztlan when she can, but it's clear right then that this is a personal mission for her. Feathers puffed up, tail lashing and thumping against the floor, her tongue flickering out on reflex like a snake.

Once people have gathered, she speaks up, a slight tremble sneaking into her voice as well. "Make sure you are prepared for a fight. This classroom contains a creature that will attempt to kill us when it realizes we are near. Keep an eye on your allies, and be careful with any black ooze. I have no idea what to expect of the creature within."

    "Expect to see horrors."

She draws her longsword and hacks at the vines, chopping them away viciously. Instead of the seeping water of ordinary plants, disgusting rotten blood splatters out of the wounds of the plant life. It doesn't deter Ainsley, no, perhaps it only motivates her to keep slicing in order to get inside. Then she gestures for the party to step inside, the door apparently already unlocked and able to be opened a fair amount into what is only immediately a dark room.
Fujiwara no Mokou     FUJIWARA NO MOKOU needs to go out more. People like to pressure her about it, but being a part of Heaven or Hell is a pretty solid way to find things to do all the same. And sometimes you just need to see something other than an endless forest of bamboo. And, you know, rabbits, and annoying princesses. That's why the white-haired girl has offered her help, dressed in her signature red pants with suspenders and white shirt, with paper talismans on the pants and in her hair. Someone should probably teach her about wardrobes eventually.

On the way, she would have been happy to help set undead on fire, making occasional comments about how creepy the school looks. Once they reach the classroom door and Ainsley warns them, she glances about, curious.

"What's in the REST of the place anyway? It gives me the creeps. Is there something nasty behind every door or just this one?" For obvious reasons she isn't too interested in finding the answer out through trial and error. Or even just trial. No, really, for now she's content enough being in the middle of the ground, hovering maybe half a foot above the ground, hands in her pockets.
Staren     Staren's here. He's a robot covered in armor and carrying a small arsenal of weapons. It's as ready as he can be, for whatever's behind that door. At Ainsley's warning, the missile launchers on his shoulders rotate into position (they've been loaded with the /small/ blast radius missiles, of course.) He tenses slightly as Ainsley strikes the vines, and they... bleed? Okay, that's weird. And inside is...

A dark room. Again. This body has lots of sensors, of course -- magic, lifesign, and dimensional-warping detection on the more exotic side, as well as more conventional ultrasound, electric field, terahertz, and IR-through-UV vision. But for the benefit of everyone else, and in case there's something that can only be seen with conventional light, Staren switches on lights on his helmet and forearms, and reaches into his bag for a handful of bright, glowing LEDs, and chucks them into the room. Let's /not/ fight in the dark.
Kyra Hyral     Officially, this would not be Kyra Hyral's first visit to Innsmouth Academy. It's also not her first visit to this world either so she has adequately prepared herself, bringing the Filth-warding charms given to her months ago. She has also come stocked with extra supplies for dealing with the undead to include silver and spare bullets for the Luna's Resolve. She even has an ether on her even though she's never had to drink one before. Dispatching undead is an easy task for the white mage.

Kyra's tried to make friendly conversation on the way there as she is wont to do but Ainsley's mood is disturbing her a little bit. She's seen Ainsley upset and happy before but never has she seen her this /angry/. The body language is a dead give-away even though Kyra hasn't studied the behavior of reptiles before.

Solemly, Kyra pulls the CURE-ALL, a gleaming gold and platinum grenade launcher (?) off her back, handling the heavy weapon with ease (in fact, Kyra's arms have been looking slightly stronger lately, not that it's easy to spot underneath her sweatshirt). "The rest of the place is a school that actually has students but they're kind of ellusive." Kyra speaks up to Fujiwara, pulling a set of goggles down over her eyes. The front of her hoodie is unzipped with one hand so Kyra has easy access to her potions, mixtures, and two additional guns.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako is with the party, of course. She tends to stay by Riva, but keeps a careful eye on everyone. Of course, she has already Water Bubbled the party. Of particular note, she's wearing the Dragon Bone charm that Inga made for her a while ago. The small, round bone pendant carved with a rune rests on top of her witch dress, with the thick leather cord around her neck.

When the party takes a break, she quickly looks everyone over to treat any injuries they might have sustained. Ayako looks over towards Ainsley and winces slightly. "H...Horrors... huh?" For a moment, she clutches the bone pendant when the black ooze is mentioned.

Of course, being the healer and not being able to attack herself, she keeps behind everyone else when they enter the doorway.
Faruja Faruja is only slightly behind Ainsley in the 'irritated as hell' department. If anything, her anger only amplifies his own; no only due to the importance of this mission to Ainsley, but the usual amount of indignation and hatred of the living dead like any proper Ajoran. Blaze Gun hefted on his shoulder, the butterfly-winged Faerie flapping silently by his side, the rat nods.

"The Lord and our friends shall hath our hearts hardened as we cleanse this place of Heresy and taint! God give us strength and protection from what lay beyond!" His prayer, today, is shorter than normal. He'd like to get this over with, mostly for Ainsley's sake. Delaying things unnecessarily won't help matters.

It's right about then that the Burmecian crosses his chest, grips his weapon, and punts open the door with a single kick now that it's been unlocked. Unnecessary, perhaps, but he's doing this by the book.

"Inquisition!" Shouts the rat. He doesn't go to the Blaze Gun yet, mostly because Staren has the lights covered. He will try to stay somewhat near the far less armored Fujiwara, however. He might be a mage, but he does have plate mail.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is suited up in her optic Cameo suit, even if the stealth systems won't work to well vs a lot of the problems in Kingsmouth? It's also sporting armour after all. Even if it's just light, she moves through Agartha and tries to ignore the strnge feeling she gets whenever she's here. She feels like she's trying to synch up her mind to a number of computers at once, it's an unsettling thing really.

She seems to be ready as she's ever going to be she nods for a moment at Ainsley and wonders about the place. This region is cursed, the very land itself has cancer and there may be no cure. Even burning everything to the bedrock may not be enough to purge the filth from this place.

"I understand. To people who are new here the ooze is known as the filth. This place?"

She looks to Fujiwara no Mokou.

"This was an occult school known as Innsmouth Academy."

Even with her brain being NBC sealed? She still is wary the filth seems to know no limits on what it can infect. It scared the daylights out of her to be perfectly honest.

"There's only a few students and staff left, they are hold up in an office which wards managed to hold out. Also hello Faruja."

She checks her rifle one last time and glances over to Staren for a moment. Then she turns he head to Kyra.

"Your here? Glad to have a healer here Kyra."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga had elected to come early, thus meeting the rest of the party at the Academy. She'd been in conversation with the people there, perhaps planning to solve a few of the others problems that are plaguing the place.

But, one thing at a time. First things first. Once everyone arrives, anyone who is new to this place and its unique dangers is given a small lecture by Inga. If you see a black liquid, do not touch it. Don't look at it. Especially, don't /Look/ at it. Try not to even /think/ about it. Do not read any mysterious writings. Do not attempt to study it.

Additionally, everyone is given wards. Those without a more permanet talisman would be given a rune written in blood somewhere on their bodies, meant to protect them from any potential of Filth infection. Those familiar with these precautions may be sick of hearing about it.

The wisewoman is dressed for battle...which is to say, still in a dress but not one she cares about getting hopelessly bloodstained and torn. She grips her staff in one hand and her seax in the other, poised and ready. Obviously, she'll stick toward the back of the group. Very much not a melee fighter.

Ainsley has come for blood. Inga's with her. If there is nothing she could do to save her land from the ravages of the filth, she hopes at least she can help her stop it now--and perhaps take revenge. Her eyes narrow slightly, lips pursed. "Tch...always expect horrors here. And yes, there is likely something terrible behind all the doors."
Emiya Shirou     Something's up with Shirou today. When the undead approached he didn't do his usual thing of charging at them with projected weapons bared. Instead he hung back and let others handle that, conserving his prana.

All the better they reached the destination quickly, then... "Against this many people... anything in there's probably just on edge." Around his neck, the protective charm he was given dangles on a string. He's kept it safe and ready for anything to deal with Kingsmouth!

The moment Ainsley opens the way... "Trace... on!" Prana circulates through him, all his circuits preparing for action. All of them - even the ones he rarely uses. They all thrum to life, packed with power.

On the outside nothing's really changed, but his whole body screams readiness!

    In he goes...
Wuyin Tsai Wuyin met the party at the Academy. Apparently, he skipped around somehow. Maybe it has to do with the proximity of the Anima wells nearby.

(Probably not, though.)

3D Glasses Guy hangs out next to the door while it gets cut open and made accessible. He leans against a patch of vineless wall, looking up and down the haunted, monster-infested halls. The few surviving people at the Academy have elected not to come along, though Carter sounded like she was torn on the subject. Maybe Wu spoke to them.

"I will keep watch for ghosts and familiars," Wuyin offers, "while the rest of you secure the next room." Yeah, that's the ticket -- staying outside.
Riva Banari Riva's here. She fidgets with the paintbrush Abstractum she's taken to carrying everywhere as they travel through the misty paths towards the Academy. She frowns as the vine is noticed, and she follows it along with Ainsley to the door. She frowns more at this point. "How did they even pull this off without the people in the front office noticing is /my/ question. All three of them there are not only aware of the Secret World, but one of them could probably have a long term dialogue with Nathan Hall about occult phenomena."

She shrugs at fujiwara's question. "There's a lot of secrets here. I blame the Illuminati. As usual." She sets herself, pulling her MP7s and preparing for a fight. She can't let any snakes eat her friends.

"Faruja, if you're intent on purging the heresy out of this place, you'll probably be hanging out for the rest of your life. This place was definately not Church-approved." Inga, however, gets a warm hug when Riva gets a chance. It's that as much as any wards she has to offer that seems to steady Riva. She's just that kind of person.

When the door opens, Riva heads in, joining the others in the rush to engage the horrible being.
Eleanor Lamb     Eleanor... already does not like the way the wards in this place work. She does not like the manner of creatures that roam these halls. She does not like this place in principle, general, specific, or even conceptual. This is a bad place.

That's why she's hanging back near Riva, carrying her heavy truck spanner and looking slightly green around the gills. "Bluh."
Faruja Faruja /sighs/. Riva Banari may be a goofball of a Templar, but that only makes it worse when she's /right/.

"...'The Lord's work is never done' is oft a statement I wish was a touch less literal in the Multiverse."

Kotone gets a crossing of the chest. "Let us all come home alive and not in need of a cell from being tainted, hmm?"
Ainsley     "The safe answer to that question is 'yes,'" Ainsley replies to Fujiwara, her voice tired just thinking about it. "This island contains a great many foul creature that would gnaw on your bones without hesitation if given the chance to." She frowns at the mental image of it, something she has grown familiar with over time and dealing with these kinds of monsters.

Ainsley gives an emphatic shrug at Riva. "How'd they open a link between worlds without tearing open new warp gates? It's beyond me."

Faruja's enthusiasm is met with... silence. The inside of the room is seemingly still and quiet. This only leaves the task of stepping inside. Ainsley shoots Wuyin a look of worry, if he's standing outside to watch.

Stepping into the classroom is like stepping through a veil. It somehow gets MORE humid within the classroom, and it is still dark but thankfully it is not oppressive magical darkness. A path is open through a dimly-lit room, a great lecture hall where students would sit on desks on an incline and listen to Innsmouth Academy's finest professors talk to them about the supernatural from behind a podium. The desks are on the right, and the podium is on the left.

Once a fair number of people have entered, a figure appears there behind the podium, a figure that is seven feet tall, easily, and that's because it's hunched over. This figure is dressed in ceremonial Mayan gear, but it seems soaked in blood and tar. Bright iridescent blue feathers decorate its back. It's a humanoid covered head to toe in grey scales, and it has a pair of eyes of a bright and twisted gold and orange, one eye seemingly larger than the other at any point. It's not clear if it manifested or if it was always there, a strange visual effect around the creature quite obvious.

It speaks. It sounds like a hiss trying to be human speech. It's mouth doesn't move and, truly, it's not clear if this is any human language. It translates just fine though.

"First, they starved." The figure stands upright, appearing what a Quetzal would look like with more feathers and a dose of The Hulk. "An ancient people with no guidance, they lived off the hunt and the land. They knew nothing of crops and understood nothing of the blood that went into a true and proud culture."

The room twists, and vines pop out from between floorboards, and creep down from the ceiling. The room looks and feels like it's getting older. "Before gods, philosophy, war and love, there was hunger, and it was appeased by My whim."

The room distorts and grows into a shattered husk of a classroom. Perhaps an illusion, or a profound and localized magic. The ferns that dance in a wind not felt certainly feel real when they brush against legs. Those ferns are followed by twisting and unfriendly jungle trees, with blood dripping off their leaves. The podium remains where it is, despite the walls seeming to expand outward as if to make the room larger for...some reason.

The reptillian creature's eyes burn with an unholy sunlight. Its body manifests bright white runes that seep with blood.

    "The harvest requires a sacrifice."

The plant life, seemingly mundane, comes to life, with wild stalks of corn and angry thorned vines snaking up to try and constrict or tear at anyone not keeping their wits about them. The roof twists open and reveals an eclipsed sun in a foreign and starry sky, and it beats down on the party with alien light. It feels like they've stepped into the Amazon in the middle of a very hot day, only worse. And it smells like Hell itself, as if the humidity and heat has been cooking corpses for a week.
Ainsley     'Professor' Weird Snake Guy gets a string of Spanish insults from Ainsley, in the middle of her hacking away at creeping vines. His head turns to regard her directly, and the vines snap around her ankles and try to drag her toward some underbrush, where something growls very loudly. Her sword goes flying and gets embedded in the now-soft dirt below her. She's being dragged quickly, too quickly to properly react and defend herself, especially when her face gets smacked against a board sticking out of the dirt on the way.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako shudders when she steps into the classroom. That veil isn't pleasant. Pale lue flames wink into existance, floating around her. They spread out quickly, trying to give light to the party. Extra lights are always helpful, after all. Even if the light isn't so bright.

She blinks her eyes at the figure dressed in the ceremonial gear. Ayako reaches behind herself, grabs her broomstick, and uncollapses it in her hands. She eeps softly when the classroom starts to 'change'.

Ayako unghs softly at the resulting heat... luckily, the humidity is welcome. Too bad the vines aren't so welcome. "Eep. Eeeeep! H-help!" The creeping vines grab around her ankles and then quickly tie her up. "Wh-why do plants like doing this to me?!"
Emiya Shirou     "UWAOH!?" FREEEEEEAKY! Shirou goes tumbling and rolling away from some of the plants and hops onto a desk, not that this helps much. Things just keep getting weirder and weirder. Plants, plants everywhere. Bloody, hungry plants...

The weird question is, just WHAT the heck is their opponent? A mage? A god? A mad cultist?

"AINSLEY?! Who did we just barge in on?" Does she even know? He sure doesn't. Power flows out from Shirou's palms, but it's not the WILD AND SCORCHING arcs of wasteful prana that he normally displays. Energy flows more smoothly out and congeal into Kanshou and Bakuya, casting off only a few flickers of wasted power. Projection efficiency and speed? It's gone up CONSIDERABLY since the last big mess!

"Gyagh... what kind of magic is this?!"

    THUMP.

No sooner are those words out of his mouth than his head throbs and a vision strikes.

He knows what kind of magic this is, even without knowing the words to it. No, THAT GUY knows the kind of magic.

"... My body is made of swords," states the redhead, his voice grim and focused with purpose. "A shell of steel with fire for blood."

Bloody, hungry vines come whipping at him but the twin swords whip out like striking vipers themselves, dicing up vines until they're wrapped up and dragged off...

"I have created over a thousand blades," the magus continues, a fresh set of the yin-yang weapons replacing the lost ones with a flash of light. "Never retreating, never knowing victory."

Much as it sounds like a magical chant... there's no build-up of power or anything. Nothing really seems to be happening. But intense focus wars with gut panic all over Shirou's face!
Eleanor Lamb     Eleanor... Likes this place even less. There's plants, there' heat, there's awfulness, and she's entirely not in the mood tonight after coming into the Academy and having to deal with all of this. She sighs, slinking out of her jacket, and taps Riva on the shoulder. "Please keep them off of me, thank you very much."

She reaches into her pouch, pulls out a massive blue glowing syringe, and slams the needle into her thigh, shoving whatever that blue crap is into her body. She lets out a shuddering breath, and starts to... heat up, right in return with her surroundings. Her hands literally light on fire, the skin crisping and charring and burning, but never burning away. That must hurt.

And then she's throwing flames at plants, focusing on the ones that are assaulting people, supporting the direct fighters tonight.
Fujiwara no Mokou     "Oh," comes Mokou's answer to Ainsley's own, before she looks at Kotone and Kyra. "Really? I wouldn't want to study here if I was still in school. These must be some really brave students if they keep coming despite... you know, the things. And other angry things. And the zombies." Well, to be fair, that was outside, not at the school itself. Still a factor!

Nonetheless she proceeds in with everyone else. This classroom is bigger than she expected-- first time she steps anywhere near an university campus, so that's not too surprising. She's more used to 'small village school'. Not quite the time to ask about that, once the lecturer appears and gives some sort of speech about sacrifice.

Oh hey the plantlife comes to life.

Hack, slash, tear, there's bits of Mokou pretty much everywhere. Her flayed and carved body hits the floor. Err, well. RIP. That's a body alright. Didn't exactly take the vines a whole lot of effort, either.
Staren     As soon as the figure moves, Staren opens fire -- there's probably some sort of defense that will give it a chance to monologue.

There's a dimensional distortion warning on his HUD, and then... alien sky and plants everywhere! Staren tries to electrocute the plants around him, and failing that, he tries to rip free with super-strength and cut them up with his beam sabers.

And then make his way towards professor snake-guy. "Really? /This/ is the might of a god? You let mortals find and confront you. You're already doomed, you just don't know it yet!"
Inga Freyjasdottir The air in the lecture hall is like walking into a solid wall, so stark is the contrast in humidty. The air feels oddly liquid. Inga feels like she may as well be swimming it is so dense with the jungle moisture. Inga continues forward once others have entered, likely one of the last to enter the room, leaning on her staff, frowning slightly as it sinks a few inches into the soft, moist earth beneath her feet.

Jungles are gross.

Inga's vision narrows in on the large lizard-man speaking to them, her eyes narrowing. She's noted the area around them, noted the blood that drips from leaves. The corner of her mouth curves upward slightly at this observation.

She listens, quiet and unobtrusive for the time being. A sacrifice? Obviously the harvest requires a sacrife--but it isn't going to be them.

Inga gasps as the forest comes alive, vines yanking Ainsley out of view, dragging her away. "Ainsley!" she says, directing her knife to her arm, stabbing quick and deep. It's too late to get another ward on her--and Inga has problems of her own. A vine comes for her and there's not a damn thing she can do to stop it from snaking around her calf and yanking her from her feet, ripping flesh from her leg as she falls. Inga grits her teeth, groaning with the sudden shock of pain. The blood she'd drawn sprays then from her arm and seeps from her leg, but as it touches, the plant will soon find that Inga's blood has gone acidic, burning and sizzling like a bad chemical burn. Hopefully, this would make that particular vine let her go.

Even on the ground as she is, Inga has a plan. Her wounds are streaming blood, and, luckily? so is the forest. There's plenty of material to call, and soon enough a circle of blood hovers around her form, glowing softly with the anima she's pouring into it. This should keep the vines off of her, at least long enough for her to get back to her feet and let her natural healing do it's thing. She wouldn't be able to walk on her leg as is, its torn down to the muscle.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is glad Inga's here she honestly thinks they'd have lost people to the infection by now she makes note of Ayako as well now, they are certainly collecting healers. To be honest they are going to need every last one. She looks to Emiya nodding to him and Wuyin's warning is well timed.

"Good to know you have our backs Hex."

Poor dear she still doesn't know the Dragon very well yet.

"From what I heard of Mr. Hall? Your right, he and Montag would just form a feedback loop. It wasn't always that bad still i get where your coming from."

She also wonders about Ellie she doesn't seem to be what she says? Then against Kotone's been trying to judge by actions more these days. However the wards are just wards and set to do a certain thing. As they push in she listens for a moment she looks at them hard for a moment as everything twists. She looks at the blood and she seems to be very uneasy it only gets worse with the plants.

"Oh we are not enacting that damn movie!"

What movie? Kotone isn't saying but she's clearly very unhappy about this. Kotone's now moving to line up a shot at the thing but she's a second too late as Mokou is ripped to bits. Kotone lets out a curse and she moves just avoiding the vines for the moment. She does not go for the rifle over her shoulder, she does go however for the combat knife she has. Kotone now moves rapidly trying to make her way to Ainsley and is gong to try to cut her free. They already lost someone she doesn't intend to let this 'god' claim anymore.
Kyra Hyral     "Hey Kotone. Well, I'm not the only one here today-" Kyra gestures at Ayako. "Know your healers! Important for party cooperation and tactics." she adds in her best PSA voice, giving Kotone a thumbs up. "Hey Shirou, you're looking pretty lively today. Here-"

Kyra knows enough about how Shirou fights by now to know that'd he'd definitely benefit from a protect spell. Kyra gestures, the magic particles welling up inside her and...

...the spell goes off with no problems whatsoever. There are no chaotic effects, no potential interference from the Filth or whatever may have transpired the last time she tried to 'help' with her magic in this world.

She's one of the last people to step into the classroom though the effects and illusion created by the Quetzal do not begin until everyone has entered, giving her the full view of the entire speech and entire illusion. At a time like this, Kyra would normally pull out her phone and take a picture but today, she finds herself far too unnerved to do so. There is, however, a mental note made to get one of those Go Pro cameras that they strap onto professional dungeon runners so she didn't have to worry about waving her mPhone around during a fight. She manuvers around as the plant life begins to grow, keeping careful eyes on the others.

Then it all happens so fast, the blood-scented plant life growing aggressive, pulling Ainsley away, ensnaring Ayako, outright killing Fujiwara. Even worse, she doesn't know Fujiwara so well-CAN SHE RESPAWN LIKE RIVA AND INGA? "D-damnit..!" A hand drops away from the CURE-ALL to her belt, "I wasn't expecting hostile plant life, I didn't bring the toxin-rugghgh!"

A vine encircles her throat and drags her backwards, both of her hands instinctively reaching for it. The CURE-ALL falls to dangle heavily in front of her thanks to the over the shoulder strap she keeps it on. The sudden dead weight prevents it from dragging her backwards but at the cost of nearly crushing her windpipe. Gurgling, Kyra grasps a hand at her waist, yanking free one of her ever-present napalm flasks and hurling it behind her. Sure, it catches Kyra in the explosion as well, but it's a sacrifice she's willing to make to avoid being suffocated.
Riva Banari Well, this is not what she expected to see. The arrival of the Teacher causes her to stare for a moment in surprise. "Oh hi there. I didn't know they were hiring offworld faculty." Riva comments in a deadpan. "I'm going to need to see your credeeeeeeeeeooooooohgod." She aborts her sass when the room shifts around them, and she grimaces, the plantlife becoming a threat. "Problem! This is a problem!" She calls. She nods to Eleanor as Ellie taps her for backup, and she begins raking the plantlife with a hail of blue-green anima bullets, trying to both keep them pushed back as well as to cut Ayako free with more shots! They retaliate, the thorns striking at her wards and some of them pushing through toe slash at her flesh, leaving long trails of blood dripping from her skin. "Ayako! Stop trying to get drunk by plants, that's just /weird/!" she calls to the water spirit. Their multiple fire users probabl have this issue well in hand. She does, however, gape ar Mokou getting carved up. "WHOA! What happened there? Oh damn!" She stares at the corpse bits with horror, but Kyra's choking is more relevant to her at the moment, and it snaps her to attention as she turns to level her guns and try to shoot the vine out from around her!
Ainsley     Fujiwara goes down, and that makes Kukulcan bellow thick and harsh laughter, his mouth opening and revealing that it is full of terrible black ooze and those unknowable stars. He holds only immense delight in watching them deal with the plant life, the very sound of his voice gnawing at the back of the mind when he does that. Staren's words, alike, get more laughter, deeper laughter, which rumbles the whole room.

The vines shrink back from the natural fire that threatens them. This protects some of the plants from being torched, and wards others off of poor allies who were the targets of assault. The ones that iced Fujiwara try to drag the bits off into a nearby bit of concealing foliage like properly killed prey while everyone is busy with all of the other plants. Speaking of those:

Popcorn sounds echo through the round as Eleanor's application of fire destroys a great many corn stalks... and what emerges from the corn husks after that are burning snakes. Every single one of them. The snakes crawl out of the stalks and hit the ground, still clearly on fire and popping like horrific steaks against a skillet. Yet they come for any nearby living thing and try to wrap around them, while still on fire. This means the few that try to get to Inga instead melt.

Kukulcan picks this moment to participate in the fray, still cackling loudly like this is the most fun he has ever had. He picks up the whole podium with one arm, and flings it at Shirou. This is a piece of hardwood furniture that is being thrown. It's probably a good thing that Shirou picked a desk to jump onto, because many of the plants are having a harder time reaching him with Eleanor's fire cutting through them, and the Protect spell makes it near-impossible for them to hurt him without a proper grip.

Riva finds that anima-powered guns are very effective against these plants. They shred like tissue paper, giving her some breathing room and helping Kyra with her problem as well. Kyra's plan works, and the vine that was trying to strangle her burns up.

Ainsley, when saved, begins going about the arduous task of blasting vines with lightning, and floats up off the ground just so that she won't get grabbed by them again. "Thank you, Kotone!" she replies with the associated shake to her voice from the terror of life-threatening battle.
Kyra Hyral     Kyra sucks in a big gasp of air, Riva's bullets and her napalm eradicating the vine that was strangling her. Fire burns behind her and the back of her hoodie smoulders, ironically right where the Diabolos patch is-having opted for that hoodie instead of the one Tomoyo made her today. "Ayako! Riva, make sure Ayako is freed!" she calls out, hefting the CURE-ALL up in her hands again.

Taking Ainsley's idea, Kyra murmurs a few words, ending with the shout of "FLOAT!" which does enable her to evade some of the vines, if only for a few moments before they come grasping at her again. It at least keeps her out of immediate reach of the flaming snakes and makes her a harder target to hit as she keeps moving, now seeking to scale some desks for safety as well.

Kyra cranks the level to 'medium' on the CURE-ALL, which determines the strength of the heals and amount of MP drained from her, and turns to level it at Riva and anyone within the vicinity. When it fires, a white sphere of magic arcs out and explodes exactly like a grenade might, although delivering area of effect healing instead of damage.

Finally, she turns to Shirou, who is engaging Kukulcan directly, and extends a hand towards him. A white glow follows as she murmurs again, a different sort of beneficial magic settling around Shirou. Instead of one, Kukulcan might start seeing multiple Shirous, making it difficult to pinpoint his exact location, "BLINK!"
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako smiles brightly at Riva when her anima-powered guns tear through the vines that are tying her up. "Thank you, Riva!" She can't help it. Plants just seem to like her, after all. Once she's properly free, she quickly hops onto her broomstick and flies over to Riva quickly!

Once she makes it over to Riva, she tosses her a ball of purple healing water as thanks! She then watches the vines and plants with her eyes narrowed slightly. "Ah! There are snakes in some of the plants! Well then, this should help!" Ayako smiles cheerfully and flies in a quick circle around Riva. "Blizzard Barrier!"

Icy gusts of wind begin to swirl about Riva! They actually feel kind of good in this heat and humidity-but that's not really the point! These should make plant and snake alike hesitate in attacking Riva. The winds and ice both will help protect her as well!
Fujiwara no Mokou     Mokou's body abruptly catches fire.

With an intense blaze, the wounds close, the missing bits are replaced by flames, including the skin. And then the flames wash away, the girl standing back up, rubbing the back of her head. Bright, feathered wings of fire idle on her back, the motif of a phoenix probably hard to miss.

"Ow, damn. That wasn't fair at all."

    Huff. Still kinda hurts, too.
"I shoulda brought painkillers. I hear you guys from more modern worlds make miraculous ones." Protip, don't let her near bottles of ibuprofen or anything like that, she'll start chugging it down in unhealthy doses.

    "Oh. Yeah. Horrors. Right."

Flickers form in the air as Mokou starts hovering again, and then extends her hands out. "You're not getting me twice with that!" Fire, fire everywhere. Waves of it shoot out from her hands, trying to hose down what plantlife isn't currently being assaulted by ice spells (mostly because it would probably be bad? she's never really worked together with an ice user before).

"Hey, do we have a plan besides burning everything? It's regrowing awfully fast."
Staren     Staren also takes to the air once he's free of the vines, making his way towards Kukulcan. "You think it's funny? Technology can feed everyone. There's no place for you here anymore!" Seeing the dark god(?) throw the podium, he has second thoughts about trying to engage it in melee, though... instead, he tries to keep out of its reach and fires everything. Beam cannons followed up by the missiles, a half-dozen trying to home in on the creature, penetrating flesh and exploding -- or at least exploding on a near-miss, but with smaller, controlled explosions of a few feet. It wouldn't do to vaporize the room with his friends in it!
Faruja Snakes and vinces alike are generally giving poor Faruja a hard time. There's a string of pious insults from the rat as he thrashes, burns, and generally makes a very difficult target to stay still. Faery helps with matters, using her cutting wind to keep much of the assault off of the rat.

By the end of it, the rat is a slashed, bleeding mess, a full half of his face quite horridly wrecked.

And then he catches sight of Fujiwara regrowing her everything. The Inquisitor pauses, tilting his head.

"Lady Mokou, remind me to take thee out to tea some time." Strange!

SAid Phoenix asks for a plan.

"If I may..." Dismissing Faery the rat teleports amidst the greatest concentration of vines, and crushes one of his time pieces. A dark-grey film suddenly starts to eat into the world as the very fabric of time pauses where it lands! Then the rat is pouring as much Blaze Gun fire as he can into it!

"/NOW/ ye apply copious amounts of cleansing flame!" He's sure to direct that fire at Kukulcan as well!
Emiya Shirou     With a wild grunt Shirou counters the incoming furniture with a swing of both weapons. He succeeds in bisecting the podium at an uneven diagonal - those swords are unimaginably sharp, it seems! - but the fragments still clobber him and knock him straight off his perch to go rolling across the ground. Kyra's Protect spell, though, that arrived just in time. "Thanks!"

Instead of getting his chest caved in, he has a cracked rib or two, and a gash somewhere on his head - enough to get his forehead a bit bloody.

Though then he sees the situation Kyra's in and - and the fact that others are heading to help her.

He'll just have to finish this...

All the more so. With Fujiwara seemingly thrashed.... No. no no no no no.

He'll not let that happen to ANYONE ELSE HERE.

But he's already failed to save everyone. That ideal is right here in front of him... dashed to pieces - hypocritical, flawed.

Another throb of searing pain courses through his now bloodied head, leaving him gasping and panting in a lopsided stance. Still, he inhales and...

"I stand atop a hill of swords, forging weapons from my flesh." NOW something odd starts happening. Just as the classroom shifted to the deep terrifying amazon, now new elements are introduced to it. Swords begin erupting from the ground, swords of varying makes, ages, eras, cultures... rapiers, longswords, claymores, katanas... some plain, others ornate and elaborate - fit for display in a king's chambers...

Flames that have nothing to do with others' efforts rise from the ground around him, but they consume nothing.

Ayako might remember this display. She might remember it very well.

Resolve and determination burning in his eyes and a fierce scowl showing for Kukulcan, Shirou extends a hand, palm open and fingers spread.

"This lonely path needs no reward... MY WHOLE LIFE IS..."

Flames, thick as a wall but giving off no heat, erupt from his hands. They spread everywhere at an ever increasing rate, swallowing up EVERYTHING! The forest, Kukulcan, Shirou, and EVERYONE PRESENT. It washed past everyone like a tidal wave and spreads to the infinite horizon!

    "UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS!"

When the flames dim in the next second or two, the world's changed drastically. No doubt considerable lethal foliage remains, but it's not the only thing dictating the landscape.

The skies are now visible. A sunless sky the color of twilight, but illuminating everything. Scorched, metal-rich soil inhospitable to plants can be seen in all directions. On the distant horizon a wall of hazy flames burns without source. The air is filled with rising embers aglow with intense heat. Small pyres dot the landscape, forge-fires burning without limit.

And everywhere, there are swords impaled partially into the ground, blade-down. Fantastic weapons, mundane weapons, familiar and unfamiliar.

Ainsley will easily see the daggers she showed Shirou.
Wuyin's Jian is not far from him, regardless of where the original is.
Kyra will find herself able to easily get a glimpse of both Souji's Murasame and Artyom's The Rock nearby.

There is Caladbolg, Excalibur, Gae Bolg, Joyeuse, the Grim Reaper's Scythe... and stranger things besides. A black katana. An enormous nodachi. Eight swords of incredible irregular and eroded shape...

And anyone who doesn't wish otherwise - or is being restrained - finds themselves on the high ground, atop a small hill.

Emiya Shirou's at the very top of it, Kanshou and Bakuya in hand. Still panting heavily and shivering with the exertion...
Eleanor Lamb     Shirou may be swords, but right now Eleanor is fire, and also blood. As those snakes start to coil and escape, those that make it to her and bite on start bleeding her, wrapping around her body and she simply... keeps right on burning. There's a terrible glow to her eyes as she starts walking towards the terrible god. It's hard going as the snakes start to tangle and bind, but she hisses. "Burn. All things burn. Men... time... gods... all of it comes to an end and all of it is combustable, if you just get it hot enough." The Sister is... she's a sight, that fire starting to crisp and flame around her clothes, and she just keeps right on healing through it with her EVE powered rage.
Ainsley     The landscape screams as if Shirou's influence had stabbed it write in the gut. Where Shirou's enforced reality tears into Kukulcan's own, the ground buckles and bleeds a black ooze that bursts into flames and turns to ash in the air. The bright eclipse is still seen up in the sky, but it cracks and wobbles under the magical pressure. Oppressive humidity is burnt away almost an instant, and the heat remains strong in the air. Where Kukulcan stands, plant life desperately struggles to survive on the cracked earth.

Kukulcan shudders, and vomits black goo at his feet, no longer finding this funny at all. His runes flicker and burn as they fight against the Unlimited Blade Works, and he is, for a moment, still and open to attack.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako blinks her eyes quickly and looks over to Shirou when the flames gather around him. Wait. Waaaait! She's seen this before! Shirou can do this on his own now?! Not only that... it's much more stable than when she helped him before. But ungh. That world's heat.

Ayako flies over to Riva quickly and hops off of her broomstick. The water spirit has no choice but to stay very close to Riva so that the icy barrier she made for her can keep her cooled. Stupid heat. She gestures at her own barrier, and it swirls in a bit of a different fashion. The quality of the frost and ice intensifies!

If Riva should shoot through it, the barrier will boost her shots in a icy and frosty fashion!
Kotone Yamakawa The alien sun beats down upon her and she doesn't like the feel of it, the way the light is let alone this plant hell they all been dragged into. Things became nasty when the vines started to be a thing. Oh she does not like whee this is going, she doesn't have much in the ways of gear that could handle them. Well she has one thing but she doesn't want to use that unless she needs to use her trump card.

"No problem Ainsley!"

She now turns her attention to trying lend a hand where she can.

"Snakes?! Why did it have to be snakes?!"

They likely have venom that would do horrible things to the organic or inorganic given this place. Still it gives her something else she can, do right?

"Good thinking Ayako! Freeze them and the plants..."

She really needs to talk to Shen about some more variance in grenades. Then Mokou is back up and asks a good question. Kotone is only paused for a second due to her experienced with Riva and Wu.

"GO after the one behind this, all this stuff is to just slow us down!"

Kotone is not so ignorant of the multiverse to not be aware of far less insane and evil harvest gods.

Kotone's going to try and snap off some shots from her rifle at Kukulcan hopefully lending some support to Shirou.
Inga Freyjasdottir Oh, snakes now too? On-fire snakes, even! Well those she bleeds on get burned in that terrible chemical way, or are held back by her protective circle. Using her staff, Inga arduosly pulling herself back to her feet as her leg continues to heal. By normal stadards, it heals quite quickly, but in the midst of battle? It seems to take forever.

Gritting her teeth, she looks toward Kukulcan, seeing with horror that his mouth is full of the Filth. Quickly she looks away from him, not focusing on the black substance. Only knowing that they must not only kill him...they must destroy him utterly, purging the Filth before it can infect anyone else.

A snake crawls toward her, poised to strike, but gets smashed right on top of the head with the end of her staff. It is very messy. Inga doesn't look.

In some corner of her mind, Inga had been aware that someone had died. That she'd been dragged off and was currently being eaten. This was a very disturbing and upsetting turn of events, but she could not linger on it when there were living people to protect and a mad lizard man to defeat.

Imagine her surprise when the woman was reborn in flame. Inga goggles for a moment, then shakes her head as flames spray all over. Apparently, fire is the order of the day. Inga is pretty sure they've got that covered and don't need her to join in the pyromaniac party. Eleanor has likewise gone up like a torch in the night, embracing the Fury in her veins. Oh, is she a sight of beauty and terror, a valkyrie in fire.

Speaking of being covered in fire...

Something happens. This is about all her mind is immediately able to grasp. It is inexplicable and sudden. In a flash, fire is racing toward her and she thinks surely, she will die yet again, this time in fire. That'd be a first, at least...then, there is a hill. There is a world of swords and a sky much changed, uncanny twilight glowing above. Inga is stunned. The battlefield has changed, and it seems Shirou is at the center of this mad marvel. The woman blinks, eyes round as the moon as she looks over toward the young man, her face bleached of color, cursing quietly under her breath.

The blood of her barrier is now redirecte with a flick of her knife, the circle breaking as the blood rapidly coagulates and hardens, forming wicked sanguine spears that reek with the sharp tang of iron. These anima infused bolts then sail forward like arrows, aimed straight for Kukulcan's body, hoping to impale him.
Emiya Shirou     There's no doubt that Shirou's unable to go dashing down into the fight himself. He's trying hard to not topple over, knees buckling. This might be simply a strain normally, but it's not just a STRAIN here.

It's a WAR. The world 'outside' crushing inwards, the world next door (Kukulcan's forest) pushing against. The boundary field keeping the balance is unstable. The skies and some of the ground fizzles weirdly, like bursts of static. But it's holding... for now.

"We're not here to play your crazy games! Take your bloody harvest back into the puddle of Filth it's from!" The hero in training decrees angrily, regaining his footing.

Still struggling to just keep his breathing going, Shirou raises a hand into the heavens.

In the distance, a hundred swords levitate free of the ground and travel high in the sky... then aim their points at Kukulcan.

With a sound like machine gun fire they hurl themselves in twos, threes, and fives at the abomination's back in-between others' assaults!
Faruja Faruja will admit it. He's bloody impressed as Shirou causes the very world to change. Sitting upon that hill, floating in the air and looking down on their enemy, the rat whistles.

"My, my, my! Hardly teleportation magic, 'tis one that imposes an alternate reality upon things. Curious. Right, Faruja, be amazed later. Kill Heretics now." He baps himself on the head with his cane, then gets to work.

A hill, after all, is a nice place to aim a meteor from.

"I pray ye shan't mind a bit of property damage, Ser Shirou!" Faruja chants, and gravity twists above the far-too-open Kukulcan. The air shudders as a meteor is summoned from space, the thing rumbling into existance and crashing down with horrible force, likely leaving one big crater in the landscape.
Riva Banari Ayako gets freed! Yay! Riva enjoys the healing and the additional barriers she gets in thanks. THIS IS WHY YOU HELP YOUR SUPPORT OUT, PEOPLE. She, however, is about toget vined to hell and back when Shirou goes and CHANGES THE RULES. The plants vanish, and Riva looks all over the area in awe and wonder. "Holy Awesomesauce." She breathes. "Look at all of those /swords/."

She does, however, remember to do a cool pose for a second, winking at the horrible abomination and grinning mischeviously. "COME ON EVERYONE! LET'S ROCK THE CASBAH!" She yells, and... holsters her guns?

What is she doing? Riva turns and pulls out her paintbrush and a vial of ink, carefully snapping the top open and dipping the brush into it, wetting the tip. The black fluid gleams like a diamond in the light shining through the endless gearworks and flame.

"Daemon. Let's paint this guy into a corner!" She pronounces, before she lunges forward, holding the paintbrush forward like a weapon. Ayako's augmentation barrioer forms as she flips through the air, hitting the ground and skidding past the god. As she does so, she whips the brush to one side, trailing black through the air as if the world was a canvas, the Abstractum glowing as Anima flows through it as well in strange and new ways. She flips upwards, spinning as she trails ink in a spiral pattern, as if she was trailing a ribbon od the concept of /cutting/ through the air, before she lunges, thrusting the brush through the barrier for a wash of frozen severing through the god's position, joining everyone else's alpha strikes!
Emiya Shirou     Shirou doesn't mind property damage, no. But casting METEOR inside an unstable Reality Marble's boundary field is apparently not helping it much.

The region around impact fizzles HEAVILY just like earlier, and crackling static spreads across the WHOLE SKY briefly.

The Rain of Swords also falters and Shirou drops to a knee...
Fujiwara no Mokou     Since FIRE EVERYWHERE is no longer required to keep the plants at bay (quite as much, anyway), Mokou changes her gameplan to... oh, wait, she only really has the one gameplan, doesn't she.

"Sure, tea sounds nice," she replies to the ratman.

In the meantime, she stuffs her hands back into her pockets. Countless little orbs of fire materialize in the air, firing in wild circular patterns that mostly avoid her allies but attempt to concentrate on the currently quite bad off lecturer. Well, what's left of him by now. The bullet hell treatment WITH FIRE is pretty thorough, but the dozens and dozens of fiery orbs are pretty small. Mostly dangerous if a lot of them connect at all.
Kyra Hyral     There is a look of relief on Kyra's face when Fujiwara respawns. She's yet to be around when an elite died for reals on a mission and she's happy that that is not something she'd have to confront today. "HEY, did you say you needed painkillers?" Kyra calls out to Fujiwara, "Because I have some! I'll give them to you after this!" Uh oh.

Since nobody seems to be in eminent danger of dying right now (though Shirou's rapidly diminishing magical particles is pretty concerning), Kyra swaps weapons from the CURE-ALL to the Luna's Resolve since the CURE-ALL cannot, in fact, do damage to anything. The Luna's Resolve, on the other hand, is a genuine Lloyd Irving-forged weapon with special Lloyd-made holy aspected ammo. The six-chambered, ornate pistol shot some pretty big bullets and Kyra liked it.

"Hey, I heard you like seeing things bleed!" Kyra calls out cheerfully before she shoots Kukulcan, emptying all six rounds on him.
Eleanor Lamb     The flames... die off now that there's no plants to burn, and Eleanor once again hefts up that heavy pipe wrench of hers. Her scalded, burned, scorched body is scabbing back over, her lovely features returning slowly, but she's already moving in with the wrench, charging for the creature. Fire, and now ice as the end of the wrench crusts over, steam and frost and everything hissing madly as she swings for the fences.
Staren     Staren sees Kukulcan's reaction to space warping, and grins. "Aww, what's the matter? Finally realized victory's not a sure thing?" Staren reaches into his bag and pulls out two more things: An oversized revolver, and a... spray-can?

"Forget going back where you came from! Your existence is a scourge upon all life, and we're gonna END you! Someone, shoot or cut the can!" He just flings it right at Kukulcan, then opens fire. Each shot fires two bullets, one after the other, empowered by a god of madness and invention for the express purpose of putting scary monsters that prey on people six feet under.

The can, meanwhile, is full of blessed nanites programmed to detect and burn the Filth as they try to eat away at it!
Emiya Shirou     No sooner than Staren asks that than Saber's EXCALIBUR goes zipping past, slicing the can clean in half moments before it hits the ground!
Ainsley     It's a war for control between Kukulcan and Shirou, but he would feel the difference between the two of them. His magic is natural, a force of his own body, an influence of his own mind. Kukulcan's magic is a pale imitation of the kind of power that Shirou has just displayed. The vines cannot struggle through the dirt and cannot live off a land starved of life and torn by war. The very concept of it is anathema to what is supposed to be a nature magic influence. Vines also flicker and crackle, plants burn away or distort into metallic versions, and the runes on the monster burn in protest against the strain.

Kukulcan would break free from it soon, and is already shuddering back upright and focusing on Shirou like a guided missile. However, the falter was enough to seal his fate, because the party has no mercy for the creature.

Kotone's bullets slam into him, splattering rotting blood across the parched dirt.
He tries to grasp a sword to use, and gets halted by a spear of blood slamming into his arm, and then his chest, and his leg.
That same sword comes out of the ground, Shirou's weapons soaring into the air--
And a Meteor crashes down, blocked with both arms in a desperate effort that cracks scale and bone, and sears flesh.
The godbeast howls in agony from the assault, but it's not over yet. The swords fall like a rain, and Kukulcan's howl is cut short when many of them slide between scales, the ones that don't shatter against his hide, blades piercing lungs and slotting between bones, hanging loosely and gruesomely when he lurches forward.
Holy bullets slam into Kukulcan's middle, burning a clean hole through him and exposing a strange core made of a bright red hand mirror.
A wrench strikes the creature right in the face, knocking it backwards in a pronounced stagger, shattering burning flesh and cracking bone with the force of the strike.
And the nanites pour over the burning monster, melting it down. Excalibur knocks the red hand mirror loose, but it's several gunshots that take down the monster and shatter its form completely. It just crumbles before their very eyes with nothing more than a rattling wheeze, leaving the mirror with no more support. It floats for a moment, until a glancing bolt of lightning from Ainsley cracks the surface further.

The mirror drops and shatters against the ground, and just like that, the beast's influence vanishes completely. When Unlimited Blade Works wears off, all the party will find themselves in a familiar room. The classroom. The podium is missing, embedded into one of the walls, and there's a scorch mark beneath the mirror where Kukulcan used to be, but aside from that, everything looks... normal.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako blinks her eyes for a moment when she sees the... for lack of a better term, arsenal headed in Kukulcan's direction. However, she makes a point not to spare much of a glance in the target's direction. They are corrupted by the black ooze after all. Instead, she pays more attention to everyone else. Looking them over carefully to see if they need medical attention.

The moment the beast's influence vanishes, Ayako is quickly flying on her broomstick, distributing Purple Healing Water to those that are wounded. In particular, Ayako stays by Shirou for a while, giving him quite a bit of Green Mana Healing Water. He burned through a lot of magical energy, after all!
Kyra Hyral     Pulling back her gun, Kyra begins to reload, though she doubts a second round will be needed thanks to the overwhelming firepower of everyone here that reduces Kukulcan to a greasy scortchmark on the ground. The reloading does give her time to think and observe.

The imbalanced magic from Shirou earns her attention. The level of the spell he cast felt like it required much more skill and much more magic particles than what Shirou had displayed. It would explain why he was unable to maintain it for more than five minutes but at the same time it made her wonder how he was able to cast the spell in the first place. Not only that but she is certain she recognized the Murasame and Artyom's "sword' amongst the weapons that had appeared. Given what she had previously seen of Shirou's abilities, it did make sense.

"Everyone alright?" she calls out, sliding the Luna's Resolve into her hip holster. Despite asking the question, she heads over to Fujiwara, digging through one of her pouches as she walks. "So, painkillers, let's see..."
Riva Banari The conflagaration that obliterates Kukulcan is pretty amazing. Riva will have to make a picture of that one sometime.

"HELL YEAH! VICTORY POSE TIME!" Riva yells as the area begins to return to normal. As mentioned, Riva is doing a cool victory pose, with Daemon thrust into the air and her other arm before her, legs spread to give her a neat diagonal lean.

And then the falls over when one of her feet loses purchase. "WHOOF!" She calls out, grunting, From her fallen point though, she blinks at the gleaming remnants of the mirror on the floor. "Huh. What's that?" She says, and soet of crawls over to pick up a shard of the mirror, looking at it closely.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga lets out a breath, clinging tightly to her staff as the world changes again, leaving them back in the classroom. Inga, experiencing a severe case of vertigo, decides to have a seat.

Once her vision has stopped spinning, she waves Ayako off with a small smile. "I'll heal presently," she says, letting Ayako reserve it for those who didn't heal as her and Riva do. The wound in her leg is still rapidly healing, while the slice in her arm is nothing but a smear of drying blood on pale, unmarked skin.

Inga sighs again, shaking her head. "A....mirror?" she muses aloud, then reaches out in vain as Riva moves for it. "Don't /touch/ it Riva!" she cautions, but its likely too late.

"I swear it's like keeping children from touching hot brands sometimes," she grumbles lowly.
Fujiwara no Mokou     That sure is a lot of swords.
Kinda reminds Mokou of that maid at the mansion. Just with swords instead of knives. Nasty either way, absolutely. She can make knives too... well, knife-shaped bullets? But it's not really the same thing. Similar quantities, sure, but way less impact.

The phoenix-girl's fiery wings fade away when things calm down and the landscape reverts, hands still in her pockets right up until Kyra walks up to her. The White Mage has the girl's full attention now!

"Thanks. Dying hurts, sometimes it'll happen like four or five times back to back, it'll end up aching everywhere for days and days. I've tried all sorts of teas and herbs for it but I've yet to find something strong enough to... you know, deal with the pain of dying."
Staren     The monster... is actually destroyed, right after Staren pronounces its doom! He actually expected that it would suddenly reveal new reserves of power and drag it out for awhile... but it seems they figured out how to destroy The Hunger. Staren blinks at the shattered pieces of mirror for a moment, then raises the tip of the barrel in front of his mouth and blows.

Which does nothing, since he's wearing a face-concealing visor.

'Thanks, Morg.' he whispers, then twirls the gun and drops it into his bag. "Everybody okay?" He looks around, smiling at Riva's declaration of victory pose time, then approaches the pieces of mirror, although he doesn't walk right up to it and /touch/ it.

"Huh. I figured The Hunger was some kind of dark god or something. Plants and a mirror, though? How's that fit...? What does it mean?"
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga glances toward Mokou, lips flattening to a thin line. "...I know the feeling," she says quietly.
Faruja Faruja brushes himself off, robes dusty from the pure amount of incredible firepower this many Elites gathered in one room/alternate reality can bring to bear against a single target. Clearly, the man hadn't been thinking things through when he made an enemy of everyone involved.

With healing quite well done by those gathered, the rat approaches the stain that might have once been Kul.

The priest kneels. /After/ checking for Filth.

"May ye go to the Lord, thine sins forgiven, and find a peaceful, non-Heretical life in His arms." Pause.

"Provided he doth not toss ye into the Abyss for all of thine crimes."

Sometimes a priest must cover all of their bases.
Eleanor Lamb     Eleanor... slumps over on the wrench, hands still blistered and burned, her healing slowing to a crawl. She's looking winded and tired and slightly ill again. She coughs up some blood and bends over, trying to get her head between her knees.

    "Bluh."
Emiya Shirou     When Kukulcan falls, Unlimited Blade Works also falters. A combination of exhaustion, barrier instability and inexperience maintaining it AT ALL let alone against a foreign influence coming together.

It doesn't simply fade, however. The world literally collapses inwards, the horizon crushing in towards Shirou as the regional influence contracts and finally fades away. he's actually kneeling on one of the desks, eyes closed... and still breathing as if his lungs were on fire and far from any oxygen at all.

"What a... crazy... thing to run into. Who was that person?!" And did they HAVE to kill them? He was... on self-examination, surprisingly merciless to someone he'd only seen a moment earlier.

Thinking on that, SHirou rapidly shakes his head as if to clear it. "Yeah! More or less!"
Kyra Hyral     "I can imagine." Kyra nods, knowing that imagining is all that she's probably going to get on the 'what it feels like to actually die' front. "In that case, I'd probably give the hydrocodone a try." she switches to a different pouch entirely, producing an unmarked medicine bottle, complete with safety cap. She wrenches it open and produces a pair of oblong white pills. "It's pretty strong and it might make you feel a little loopy. It's also kind of hard for me to get ahold of."

Kyra...doesn't explain that part further. "Here." she holds out her hand to Fujiwara.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is getting ready to slot up fresh clip and put Staren's rounds to use if it's needed however? This is not the case as the amount of power brought against the god beast? Is more than enough to bring it down it seems. Everyone has played part and it does make her think about the kind of people that do get around the multiverse. She lowers her weapon as the world shifts back to the school and she sighs She looks over at Kyra and calls back.

"I'm good, no need for repairs it looks like. Then Riva suggest the victory pose, and she ends up just joining n trying to look cool with her rifle for a moment. he stops however after a moment as Riva falls.

"We might want to be careful with that, Riva."

She looks over at Inga nodding in agreement, yes she heard what Inga said moves over to her whispering.

"You have a point."

She then speaks up more loudly.

"So we likely should sweep the area for anything else."
Faruja Then Shirou slumps. Faruja is then over, floating the poor young man. If he were a year or two older, he'd be offering the poor guy a drink right now.

"Come, come. We shall get ye to a bed soon, Ser Shirou." Then he'll offer the young man a shoulder.
