Owner Pose
Shigure     Nowaki has not long returned from Sortie, but being a Destroyer, and having suffered only minor damage from adverse sea conditions, she's already out of the docks and heading over to the mess to resupply. She'll likely be found there.

Shigure, meanwhile, is sitting on the pier, staring out to sea with one leg hugged up against her chest, the other left to dangle over the side. She has a largely forgotten book sat beside her, a bookmark sticking out of a page about half way through. The book is blank covered, with no way of telling what it is without opening it.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra Constantine comes bearing a good will present to the Fleet Daughters. A chest filled with aluminium ingots from Ramuh. This was dropped off and Cirra was walking away from the drop off when she paused. Nowaki was informative, and she feels a bit like they understand each other on a certine level. But Shigure...

Cirra once lost everything and for a long time cut herself off, she can't help but feel this girl has gone through something similar.

The armored woman turns begins walking down the peer. She pauses a little behind and to the side of shigure, "I hope you don't mind."
Shigure     Shigure startles a little, turning her head suddenly to the voice. "A-Ah! O-Oh, you were there at the tour... N-No I don't mind... the pier does not belong to me, after all." she replies, offering a smile.
Cirra Constantine     "I was, yes." Cirra nods, "My name is Cirra. Whats yours?" she may actually remember it, but wants to prompt Shigure into talking. "There isn't much view of the sea where I come from, so I find the view here...nice."
Shigure     Shigure nods slightly. "The view is nice..." she concedes, then shifts to stand, turning and bowing politely. "I am the second ship of the Shiratsuyu-class. Shigure. It is nice to meet you." she then replies, straightening and stroking some errant hair from her eyes, and nudging a little hair ornament over her left eye.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra nods slightly at Shigure's introduction. She takes note of the hair ornement. But it's too early to go prying into it. "Perhaps you can help me. I'm afraid I still don't really understand the Fleet Daughters very well. You say you're ships, but all I ever see is people."
Shigure     Shigure hmms? "Oh. We are the spirits of sunken warships. We take a human form because that is a way of anchoring our thoughts... and it helps with interactions since, talking to a several thousand ton ship is rather strange to many." she says, covering her mouth to titter gently... perhaps a fond memory playing across her mind.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra puts a hand to her chin, "I see. If I were to put it in the context of my world, you would be a summon, or an Eidolon." She looks at Shigure, "But your here of your own free will?"

"I'm...impressed. For a spirit to manifest of it's own will is the stuff of legends in Galianda."
Shigure     "W-Well..." Shigure replies, scuffing a foot against the pier. "N-Not exactly of 'our own free will'... The, Daughters all started out as Abyssal Navy.(Shinkaisei-kan). It was through remembering what we were, the good times we had and the happy memories, that we shook off that shackle and became what you see now." she pauses, lifting a hand to her head to rub at her temple. "At least... that's what I think it is... it's, hard to remember, sometimes."
Cirra Constantine     Mmhing slightly, Cirra mulls that over.

"But you *did* change into what you are now. That's the important part."

"Is it hard to remember things from wwhen you were a ship?"
Shigure     Shigure blinks, then peers at Cirra for a moment. "It... can be. Sometimes, though, memories come flooding in, and it is all we can do to keep hold of ourselves." she trembles briefly, closing her eyes.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra looks down at Shigure as she trembles slightly, and looks back uptwards the sea.

"I have overpowering memories too." she pauses, "Fire... and ice" She looks distantly at the horizon. "Everything burned, and then everything was frozen. And there was just me." she tucks her silvery hair behind her ear. "If it wasn't for the King and his men, that would have been my final hour."

"Now, when those memories threaten to over take me, I remind myself of what I have now."
Shigure     Shigure sighs. "It's hard to let go..." she replies. "When that is all you have left." she turns, and sits back down, unclipping the pin from her hair to look at it in her gloved hand.
Cirra Constantine     "It is." Cirra agrees, she's been there.

She glances down at the hair ornament. She moves forward and and lowers herself to sit down on the edge of the peir.

    "It's very pretty. A Momento?"
Shigure     Shigure is silent for several moments, to the point that it seems she won't answer.. until she takes a shuddering breath and swallows. "Someone... very special, gave this to me before our... last sortie." her voice is soft, and her eyes are locked into the middle distance, as if seeing something a long time ago.
Cirra Constantine     It's hard to tell in situtations like this, when to take the chance to push and hope you'll make things better, instead of accidently making them worse.

"I'm sure they gave it to you with the hope of making you happy. But it's not my place to say any more on that."

Cirra stands back up, "I would say however, that you have much here and the person that gave you that would probably want you to remember that." She turns and takes a step away, "But... I've said too much. Excuse me now, Shigure."
Shigure     Shigure reclips the pin, and nods to the Judge. "Thank you, Cirra." she says simply, her soulful blue eyes looking up at the hume.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra looks back and nods, "Of course." She might be smiling slightly and turns back to walk away.
